Between early July and mid-October, high-level stakeholders from throughout scholarly publishing were invited to participate in OSI2016. The nomination process is now complete. To nominate individuals for OSI2017 (self-nominations are welcome), click here.
The next step in the registration process was for invited delegates to confirm their interest (via email) in participating in this conference. Of the 216 invited delegates, 216 have confirmed. A few more delegates may still be included.
All confirming delegates are registered to attend by default. The “registration” paperwork includes paying the registration fee, selecting workshop preferences, submitting posters, and so on.
A delicious variety of breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and mid-day coffee and snacks will be provided to delegates at no additional cost (delegate registration fees cover the costs of meeting rooms and meals). Catering is provided by the Hyatt Fair Lakes and George Mason University. Many snack and meal options are also available on campus and at or around the Hyatt.
Rooms at the 3-star Hyatt Fair Lakes have been reserved for this event (at competitive rates). Delegates are strongly encouraged to stay here in order to participate in breakfasts and other networking opportunities. Delegates will be bused to and from the Hyatt to the Mason campus free of charge. Lodging costs and arrangements at the Hyatt, as well as additional travel arrangements and costs (such as to/from the airports, or for tours) are the responsibility of delegates.
See the “Payment Notes” section below for details.
